This Privacy Policy explains how KiloWhiskey accesses, uses, stores, and protects information when an authorized Google or YouTube account is connected to the application.
KiloWhiskey is a private video publishing and workflow automation tool. It is designed to help its operator prepare, upload, schedule, verify, and manage video publishing workflows for authorized YouTube channels.
Google and YouTube Account Access
KiloWhiskey uses Google OAuth 2.0 to obtain authorization from the Google account that manages the YouTube channel.
Depending on the permissions granted by the account holder, KiloWhiskey may access YouTube data and functionality necessary to:
- identify the authorized YouTube channel;
- read video and channel information required for verification;
- upload video content to the authorized YouTube channel;
- set or update video publishing status and scheduling information;
- verify that an upload or scheduled publishing operation completed correctly.
KiloWhiskey does not access a Google or YouTube account unless the account holder explicitly authorizes access through Google's OAuth consent process.
Information We Process
The application may process information required to perform its publishing functions, including:
- YouTube channel identifiers and channel information;
- video identifiers and upload status information;
- video titles, descriptions, privacy settings, and publishing schedules;
- video files intentionally submitted for publishing;
- OAuth authorization credentials and tokens required to access the authorized YouTube account.
How Information Is Used
Information obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide KiloWhiskey's video publishing and workflow automation functions.
Google and YouTube data is not used for advertising, profiling, unrelated analytics, or unrelated purposes.
OAuth Credentials and Token Storage
OAuth credentials and authorization tokens used by KiloWhiskey are stored on private application infrastructure and are used only to authenticate authorized requests to Google and YouTube services.
These credentials are not displayed publicly and are not included in publicly accessible website content.
Video and Workflow Data
Video files and workflow metadata may be stored temporarily while a publishing operation is being prepared, uploaded, verified, or scheduled.
Local video files may be removed after the relevant YouTube upload and publishing workflow has been successfully confirmed, according to the application's configured retention and cleanup process.
Sharing of Information
KiloWhiskey does not sell Google user data or OAuth authorization data.
Information is transmitted to Google and YouTube only as necessary to perform the authorized publishing and account-management operations requested through the application.
KiloWhiskey does not transfer Google user data to unrelated third parties for advertising, marketing, or data-broker purposes.
Google API Services User Data Policy
KiloWhiskey's use of information received from Google APIs is limited to providing the application's authorized video publishing, scheduling, verification, and channel-management functions.
The application is designed to comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy and applicable Limited Use requirements.
Data Security
Reasonable technical measures are used to protect credentials, authorization tokens, application state, and publishing data from unauthorized access.
Public website pages do not expose OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, client secrets, or other authentication credentials.
Data Retention
KiloWhiskey retains operational data only for as long as reasonably necessary to perform and verify the associated publishing workflow, maintain required application state, or support reliable recovery.
Temporary files may be deleted automatically after successful workflow completion according to the application's retention rules.
Revoking Google Account Access
An account holder may revoke KiloWhiskey's access to their Google account through Google's account security and third-party access settings.
After authorization is revoked, KiloWhiskey can no longer perform authenticated YouTube operations using that authorization unless access is granted again.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when KiloWhiskey's functionality, data practices, or Google API usage changes. The current version will remain available on this page.
